Hi, we’re Rodney Shimogawa and Minachi Shimogawa-Sousbaya – partners in business and in life, and the proud owners of HomeOwners NW. Together, we help families and individuals buy, sell, relocate, and manage properties across the Pacific Northwest with honesty, expertise, and a whole lot of heart. Whether you’re in Portland, Vancouver, Camas, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, or anywhere in between (and even up into the Puget Sound area), we’ve got you covered. Rodney is Licensed in both Oregon and Washington.

Professionally… Rodney brings more than 12 years as a Real Estate Broker and serves as Owner and Designated Broker of HomeOwners NW LLC. His focus has always been simple: build real relationships and become the person clients refer to their friends and family without hesitation. He specializes in buyer’s agency, listings, relocation, and property management. Rodney is also deeply involved in the industry at the leadership level—he’s currently President-Elect of the Clark County Association of Realtors (CCAR) and a State Director for Washington Realtors. That means he’s not just in the trenches with clients every day; he’s also fighting for smart policies that protect homeowners and strengthen our communities.

Minachi is our Client Care Specialist and co-owner. In 2020 she attended Rockwell Institute for Washington Real Estate school. Minachi brings an incredible eye for detail and organization to every transaction. Clients constantly tell us she’s the reason the paperwork feels effortless and the communication stays crystal clear. As a bilingual team (English and Vietnamese), we connect with a wonderfully diverse clientele and make sure no one ever feels lost in the process.

But here’s the personal side… We didn’t get into real estate just to close deals—we genuinely love helping people plant roots and build the life they’ve dreamed of. We live the Northwest lifestyle we sell: weekend adventures to Cape Disappointment (lighthouse hikes and stormy ocean views are our favorite), quick escapes to WorldMark resorts, and plenty of time just enjoying the PNW’s incredible food scene and green spaces. We’re a close-knit team who understand that “home” is so much more than square footage—it’s where your story unfolds, where kids (or grandkids, or fur babies) grow up, and where memories are made.
